Painful Lesson on Patents

I just read an interesting article on InsideHigherEd.com,about how Stanford University lost a lawsuit it had brought accusing the pharmaceutical company Roche of infringing its patent on a technology that measures the concentration of HIV in blood plasma."Federal court's ruling denying Stanford rights to researcher's invention points to tension over policies on institutional vs. faculty ownership."
