I just read an interesting article on,about how Stanford University lost a lawsuit it had brought accusing the pharmaceutical company Roche of infringing its patent on a technology that measures the concentration of HIV in blood plasma."Federal court's ruling denying Stanford rights to researcher's invention points to tension over policies on institutional vs. faculty ownership."

If interested, you may follow the link (click the title of this post)and read the whole article.Plus, remember go to the Comments Session by the end of the article and read Prof.Robbins's comment, which provides addtional insights into this case.
